My name is Kristen Burnell and I am a senior at the University of Florida and I will be graduating with a Bachelors degree in Geography in May 2022.
I grew up on an island always surrounded by wildlife and different kinds of natural phenomenons that fascinated me. I have always loved the outdoors, but couldn't figure out what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. When I entered college I still didn't really know what I wanted to do. Then I took my first geography class in college and became very interested in geography. Within geography, I learned about GIS and natural hazards and knew that I found my calling.
